Thanks to your involvement, the Wisconsin Way successfully released a draft blueprint for change in December 2008. Throughout 2009, the Wisconsin Way held two statewide conferences and received feedback and suggestions from thousands of citizens to develop the recommendations for changing the future of the state. Leaders of the effort are finalizing their recommendations and will present the Blueprint for Change to the Legislature in 2010.
Now that the Blueprint has been released to the public, we have been invited to communities across the state to share the strategic initiatives and recommendations developed from the 28 public forums, more than 120 organizational meetings and six statewide public opinion surveys throughout the last three years. These sessions will provide an overview of the Blueprint findings and recommendations and an opportunity for public leaders to share suggestions and offer feedback about the Blueprint.
The next briefing sessions are scheduled for Monday, August 30 at 5:00 p.m. at Portage County Annex Building, 1462 Strongs. Ave. in Stevens Point, WI, and Tuesday, August 31 at 8:00 p.m. at the Portage County Administration center. If you would like to attend, please email us at wisconsinway@wcgpr.com by Wednesday, August 25.
Please continue to visit us for announcements and opportunities to participate in upcoming events in a community near you.
